Careful Filing, Built on Organized Books

If Your Financial Life Has Outgrown Basic Tax Filing,
You're in the Right Place

As your income, entities, and investments grow, tax preparation gets more complex. What worked before no longer provides the clarity or coordination you need.

Backed by IRS Enrolled Agents

Returns Prepared by Federally Licensed Tax Practitioners

Every return at Thornton Tax & Financial Services is reviewed by an Enrolled Agent. EAs are federally licensed by the U.S. Treasury, and unlike CPAs, whose licenses are state-issued, an EA can represent you before the IRS in all 50 states, not just the one tied to a single license. That means examinations, appeals, and collections, at every level, nationwide.

We Manage the Full Picture, Not Just the Forms

Your return is only as good as the data and structure behind it. We coordinate everything that touches your filing so the picture holds together.

You don't have to chase details, fix errors, or connect the dots between advisors. We do that for you.

We Don't Prepare
Returns in Isolation

Most tax preparers step in once a year and work from an incomplete context. That’s where gaps start to appear.

We stay connected to your numbers, your structure, and your decisions throughout the year. Nothing on your return is a surprise to us when it’s time to file.

A Structured Process Built for Accuracy and Alignment

Tax preparation isn't a single act of filing. It's a disciplined process designed for accuracy, coordination, and clarity.

1

Document collection.

We gather all necessary returns, financials, and documentation upfront so nothing is rushed or incomplete.

2

Initial review.

Our team analyzes your data, identifies gaps, and asks the right questions to make sure nothing is overlooked.

3

Tax preparation.

Your return is prepared with precision, aligning entities, income streams, and reporting.

4

EA review.

Every return is reviewed by an Enrolled Agent before it goes anywhere.

5

Walk-through at the table.

Before filing, we sit with you and walk through your return in plain language. You leave understanding the reasoning behind every number, not just the result.

6

Filing and confirmation.

We handle the filing and provide confirmation so you know everything is completed accurately.

Returns built on verified books are returns we can defend. When the IRS has a question, we're ready to answer it on your behalf, with the same EAs who prepared the filing.

Our Enrolled Agents are federally licensed to represent you before the IRS at every level: audits, appeals, and collections. If the IRS contacts you, we respond on your behalf.

Our Enrolled Agents can represent you, resolve past issues, and bring you back into compliance. Back-tax work is scoped separately from a standard preparation engagement.

For most clients, tax preparation is included in a flat monthly retainer that covers bookkeeping, planning, and filing together. Pricing scales with entity count and complexity. We quote a clear monthly figure during the Fit Assessment, before any work begins.

Yes. We prepare federal and state returns for any combination of states relevant to your business and personal income.

Yes. Coordinated business and owner returns are part of how we work. Filings are prepared together so nothing conflicts.

Tax preparation shows what already happened. Tax strategy focuses on what happens next. The data from your return becomes the foundation for more informed, forward-looking decisions.

Three Generations. Since 1949. Same Approach.

To say I was in a bind would be short of the truth. A little back story, I have been going through Dependent Probate for 6 ½ yrs and my attorney decided to stop doing his job. I had to hire a new attorney and found out that I needed to file a 1041 Capital Gain with the IRS. I needed help and needed it fast. Thornton Tax & Financial Services was my rescue to say the least. Everyone there was so helpful and courteous. They even have an App that makes everything so smooth and prompt. I can’t recommend them enough!! Trying to find a tax professional at the last minute that even files a 1041 is not an easy chore and I couldn’t be happier with their expertise and promptness. I promise you can’t go wrong with this Excellent Company!!!”
